
Felipe Carvalho is a professor of Philosophy at the Federal University of Lavras (UFLA).
He holds a MA and a PhD from the Institut Jean Nicod in Paris and is the author of Demonstrative Thought: a Pragmatic View (De Gruyter, 2016).
His research lies at the intersection of emotion and perception, and he’s interested both in understanding the bodily and cognitive mechanisms responsible for affective perception as well as more social and political issues such as the phenomenology and affectivity of racism.
He is a member of the Human Rights Network of the Federal University of Minas Gerais.
